What is Liver Cancer ?

Liver cancer is often linked to chronic liver diseases such as hepatitis or cirrhosis. Early diagnosis is crucial, though symptoms may appear in later stages.

  • Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
  • Unexplained weight loss or nausea.
  • Feeling full quickly after eating small amounts.
Diagnosis

Blood tests, ultrasound, CT/MRI scans, and biopsy help confirm the presence of liver cancer.

Treatment

Surgery: Removal of the tumor or liver transplant for advanced cases.

Radiation Therapy:Used to shrink tumors and manage symptoms in advanced cases.

Targeted Therapy:Drugs that specifically attack cancer cells with minimal harm to normal cells.

Role of Radiation Therapy
